The Rotterdam process plant as a BIM model, from under the platform: vessels, heat exchanger, steel and pipework ScanModel Captured with NavVis LiDAR

    Rotterdam process facility

NavVis VLX 3 LiDAR to Revit and IFC · 1,231 objects

01Process plant · Port of Rotterdam, NL

    An as-built for a tie-in, without a shutdown

An engineering contractor was planning new lines into a live process plant, working from drawings decades out of date. One NavVis walk-through captured the structure under the platform. We turned it into 1,231 Revit objects, from the vessels and heat exchanger to the steel and pipework, set in the plant's own coordinates, so their designers could route against what is really there.

A factory layout the operations team could plan in

A manufacturer re-planning a production hall needed every rack, tote, machine and forklift lane where it actually stands. From a single survey we delivered 745 objects, each coloured from the scan, so the layout team could test new lines in Revit and walk the hall in the browser before moving anything.

A double helix, measured step by step

Two interlocking spiral stairs defeat a tape measure. The tower was flown with an Emesent Hovermap, and came back as 324 Revit objects: treads, stringers, balustrades and the central column, ready for the asset team to plan maintenance and repainting against.

From one prompt to native Revit, overnight

An operator needed an as-built of a pipe skid ahead of a valve replacement campaign. Our agent took the terrestrial scan to a native Revit model from a single prompt: 305 pipes, 210 fittings and 36 valves, connected end to end, with 98.7% of the scan within 25 mm of the model.
